During the summer 2009, Linz celebrated its year as a European Capital of Culture, with a bright yellow temporary landmark. The ”Bellevue” temporary cultural center was built on a spot visible from far away: a new park atop of the tunneled expressway, which used to separate two housing districts in the city’s south.
