The new residential area of Jätkäsaari is under construction behind the old harbour warehouses

Helsinki invites its inhabitants to brainstorm ideas for its new inner city quarters. The city organises a workshop to discuss the future development of Jätkäsaari, a large former harbour area in close connection to the inner city of Helsinki. The workshop will focus on how to make the living environment enjoyable, what kind of services people need and how the daily life looks like. The aim is to produce ideas and perspectives together with the city’s inhabitants for the future residential planning of the area.

The idea workshop is organised on Monday 20 September by the city of Helsinki and Aalto University. Those who are interested to participate, should fill an application by 12 September.
